Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable data management systems for autonomous vehicle sensor data and logs, collaborating across teams to improve data workflows, reliability, and performance in a self-driving technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable on-vehicle offload cloud data systems for multimodal sensor logs, ML datasets, and vehicle logs.
- Improve reliability and performance of offline data workflows, including throughput, latency, and metadata indexing.
- Build internal tooling, libraries, and operational patterns to evolve and scale data pipelines.
- Own key data services end-to-end, including design, implementation, rollout, and incident response.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across onboard systems, autonomy, ML, and infrastructure to deliver solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in programming with GoLang and Python
- General knowledge of backend software systems including networking, load balancing, API gateways, system security, and gRPC services
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, specifically including S3 and DynamoDB, in a production commercial system
- Knowledge of database design, database management, and database scalability

Base salary range: $146,000 - $234,000 per year
