Job Description
The Senior Manager of Government Relations at Aurora is responsible for developing and managing federal policy initiatives, building relationships with regulatory stakeholders, and advocating for autonomous vehicle regulations to support the company's growth and mission in Washington DC.
Key Responsibilities
- Deepen Aurora's public policy impact in Washington DC as part of the government relations team
- Implement and scale federal policy initiatives and educational programs
- Develop relationships with regulatory stakeholders to support Aurora's policy goals
- Serve as a liaison between regulatory stakeholders and Aurora, providing updates and regulatory support
- Strengthen public policy operations and identify new opportunities for stakeholder engagement
- Support advocacy efforts at trade associations and coalitions
- Monitor legislation and regulations affecting autonomous vehicle operations
- Collaborate internally to develop company positions on relevant regulations
Requirements
- 8 years of relevant experience working with federal government officials or trade associations
- Strong understanding of legislative, regulatory and electoral processes
- Prior experience designing and managing a variety of stakeholder engagement programs
- Detail oriented self-starter with project management skills - comfortable working within fluid, dynamic and ambiguous environments
- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form with the ability to collaborate with executives, and able to lead and influence across multiple levels and multiple functions of an organization
- A strong team player with impeccable execution skills
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range: $162,000 - $234,000 per year
Annual bonus
Equity compensation
Hybrid work environment with in-office presence at least 3 days per week
