Job Description

The Principal People Business Partner at Aurora is a strategic HR leader who partners with executive leadership to align people strategies with business goals, drive organizational effectiveness, and build a future-proof workforce in a fast-paced, high-growth environment focused on self-driving technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align people strategies with business objectives and execute solutions to support critical outcomes
  • Coach and advise senior leaders to enhance team performance and navigate organizational change
  • Diagnose organizational systems and design models to improve decision-making and cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead workforce planning and implement talent strategies to ensure the right talent in the right roles
  • Identify capability gaps using data and insights to inform talent decisions and future workforce needs
  • Address organizational challenges and implement solutions in complex, ambiguous situations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to execute people-related initiatives
  • Analyze data, research, and metrics to generate insights, diagnose issues, and recommend leadership actions

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of applicable HR Business Partner experience with proven experience partnering directly with C-suite executives within a rapidly scaling organization.
  • Broad and progressive HR business partner experience in organizations recognized for best HR practices.
  • Technology industry experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead with a creative mindset, very high self-awareness, and to act as a coach and mentor for other leaders and professionals.
  • Systems thinking, with proven ability to work effectively across multiple business areas, teams, and key leadership areas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes, and create business impact.
  • Effectively diagnosing long-term HR needs, and shaping and leading initiatives to address them.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively address all organizational levels, and fluency in English.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. approximately 10% of the time.
  • Ability to be in the office at least 3 days per week.

Benefits & Perks

Base salary range of $204,000 - $327,000 per year
Annual bonus
Equity compensation
Hybrid work environment with in-office presence at least 3 days per week
