Job Description
The Principal People Business Partner at Aurora will serve as a strategic HR partner to executive leadership, driving organizational effectiveness, talent strategies, and change management initiatives to support the company's growth in self-driving technology and mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Align people strategies with business objectives and execute solutions to support organizational goals
- Coach and advise senior leaders to enhance team performance and navigate organizational change
- Diagnose organizational systems and design models to improve decision-making and cross-functional collaboration
- Lead workforce planning and implement talent strategies to ensure the right talent in the right roles
- Identify capability gaps using data and insights to inform talent decisions and future workforce needs
- Address complex organizational challenges and develop innovative solutions in ambiguous situations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to execute people-related initiatives
- Analyze data, research, and business metrics to generate insights and inform leadership decisions
Requirements
- Ten years of applicable HR Business Partner experience with proven experience partnering directly with C-suite executives within a rapidly scaling organization.
- Broad and progressive HR business partner experience in organizations recognized for best HR practices.
- Technology industry experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Proven ability to lead with a creative mindset, very high self-awareness, and to act as a coach and mentor for other leaders and professionals.
- Systems thinking, proven ability to work effectively across multiple business areas, teams, and key leadership areas in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes, and create business impact.
- Effectively diagnosing long-term HR needs, and shaping and leading initiatives to address them.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively address all organizational levels, with fluency in English.
- Ability to travel within the U.S. approximately 10% of the time.
- Ability to be in the office at least 3 days per week.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range: 204,000 - 327,000 per year
Hybrid work environment with in-office presence at least 3 days per week
