Job Description
The role involves managing public affairs campaigns, building relationships with third-party organizations, organizing policy-relevant events, and developing content to promote autonomous trucking and influence policy outcomes, primarily within government relations and advocacy contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Aurora's efforts to build relationships with third-party organizations supporting autonomous trucking.
- Develop and execute issue-based campaigns to promote the benefits of autonomous trucking.
- Organize and execute high-impact visits, vehicle demos, and policy-relevant events for government stakeholders.
- Conceptualize and deploy policy events at key venues such as state Capitols and in Washington, DC.
- Develop processes for hosting policymakers, including roundtables and tours, with consistent branding and materials.
- Represent the company at policy events and conferences, supporting networking and physical presence activities.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to create engaging content for government audiences.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of public affairs experience, including expertise in policy, regulatory, or public affairs campaigns and events.
- Proven ability to build and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, balancing immediate needs with long-term opportunities.
- Experience building events, experiences, and developing content in support of government relations and advocacy.
- Demonstrated ability to build diverse, sustainable, relevant coalitions that bring impactful engagement in policy and regulatory debates.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex policy and technical topics into bold, concise, and compelling narratives.

Base salary range: $104,000 - $167,000 per year
