Job Description
The FP&A Analyst at Aurora will lead procurement performance analysis, develop financial models, optimize dashboards, and support strategic financial planning to improve vendor spend, cost savings, and process efficiency within a fast-growing, innovative self-driving technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Purchasing KPIs and identify spend reduction opportunities
- Analyze vendor spend, track progress against spend down targets, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate supplier contracts, pricing scenarios, and total cost of ownership
- Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards to monitor procurement performance, cycle times, vendor compliance, and savings initiatives
- Prepare monthly and quarterly spend reports and forecasts, supporting a rolling 90-day planning process for indirect spend
- Present procurement performance reports to leadership
- Review SOPs, identify process gaps, and drive process improvements, standardization, and adherence
- Drive system automation and data integrity to enhance scalable procurement and finance processes
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in Finance and/or Procurement roles in large and/or fast-growing companies.
- Significant experience working in public companies with quarterly reporting requirements is preferred.
- Ability to operate successfully in dynamic environments, identify process improvements, and implement process changes with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of procurement, accounting, and FP&A systems and processes, and how they integrate.
- Ability to pivot seamlessly between granular details and big picture strategic topics, identifying connections between the two.
- Familiarity with advanced FP&A tools and systems and corporate accounting systems such as Pigment, Coupa, and NetSuite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a succinct manner to senior executive audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- CPA or international equivalent, CFA, or MBA is preferred but not required.
- Expert-level skills in GSuite, particularly Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.
- Experience with Pigment, Coupa, and/or NetSuite is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major BI visualization tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
- Experience with data warehouse, ETL processes, and SQL is a plus.

Base salary range of $112,000 - $180,000 per year
