• 3+ years of dedicated EHS experience in an industrial, manufacturing, automotive, R&D, or technology environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong familiarity with California-specific safety regulations, OSHA, NFPA, DOT, ANSI, and safety standards, including but not limited to LOTO, Hazard communication, Fire Life Safety Code, food safety, PPE, emergency response, and other standard safety policies.
• Highly motivated, persistent, and dedicated.
• Proven ability to prioritize, make decisions independently, and manage multiple responsibilities in high-risk environments.
• Excellent ability to reason, make decisions, and exercise independent judgment in various situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build effective relationships across all levels.
• Ability to work independently across geographically distributed teams.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to other U.S. sites as needed.
• Experience in high-tech, manufacturing, vehicle, or fleet operations safety.
• OSHA 30-hour certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
• ASP or CSP certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
• Experience with EHS program development, safety training across all levels, and change management.
• Proficiency with Cority or other EHS data management software.
• Experience with waste management programs, laser safety, and fleet safety.
The base salary range for this position is $92K-$133K per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
