Job Description
The Survey Project Manager at Atwell, LLC is responsible for leading survey projects, managing survey teams, reviewing site data, and utilizing engineering software to support land development and renewable energy projects, while mentoring staff and ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with a team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents.
- Review project survey data using industry-standard technology and software.
- Analyze existing site conditions and relevant legal and survey documents for development considerations.
- Supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff to ensure project completion.
- Oversee large-scale ALTA surveys related to solar or wind energy projects.
- Provide construction-related services, including permit applications, quantity estimates, and transmittals.
- Organize and assemble site plans, construction plans, and related documents.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments efficiently and accurately.
- Mentor and support staff development, including training new hires and career planning.
Requirements
- Professional Survey License (PLS or RLS)
- Minimum of 8 years of survey industry-related work experience
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team
- Prior experience working with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan interpretations, along with Real Estate Documents
