Key Responsibilities
Assist with Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, including electromagnetic (EM) locating, ground penetrating radar (GPR), utility tracing, marking, and data collection.
Support Quality Level Investigations (QL-D through QL-A) and verify utility locations in accordance with ASCE 38-22 standards.
Assist with surveying activities, including topographic surveys, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, leveling, traversing, and profile/cross-section surveys.
Maintain SUE and survey equipment through cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
Prepare and organize field equipment and vehicles for daily operations.
Record accurate field notes and documentation following established procedures and quality standards.
Perform physical field tasks such as line clearing, setting monuments, locating underground utilities, and pounding stakes.
Adhere to company and site-specific health and safety requirements.
Communicate effectively with Crew Chiefs, Project
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding field work.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
