• Verify and process field survey data (measurements, calculations) and produce base surveys—surfaces/contours, utilities, site features, and boundaries.
• Prepare CAD deliverables (ALTA/NSPS, boundary, topographic, site, construction staking plans) in Civil 3D with limited oversight.
• Review field notes, perform QC on plats/drawings, and calculate stakeout (points, alignments, staking plots); prepare cut sheets.
• Research and draft easements from title reports; review public records for boundary/easement and right-of-way determinations.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and clients on scope, schedule, and priorities; support kickoff meetings and status updates.
• Apply Atwell SOPs, state/local surveying standards, and client requirements; maintain organized project job books and documentation.
• Mentor/guide project team members; assist with task assignment and review to meet budget, quality, and deadline targets.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Land Surveying/Geomatics (or equivalent experience).
• Active survey license (PS/PLS/RLS) or ability to obtain per state requirements.
• 5+ years’ progressive surveying experience under a licensed surveyor (8+ preferred).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and CAD drafting workflows for survey deliverables.
• Experience with Trimble data collectors, GPS, robotic total stations, and Trimble Business Center (data processing/QA).
• Strong working knowledge of construction layout, boundary retracement/legal principles, geodetic datums/coordinate systems/projections, and field-to-finish techniques.
• Solid software skills: Microsoft Excel/Word, Bluebeam Revu; ArcGIS and Google Earth a plus.
• Trimble Access, ArcGIS, and experience with data management (photo logs, checklists, structured field data).
• Familiarity with CO₂/RNG/hydrogen or electric T&D survey in addition to oil & gas corridors.
• Client-facing communication experience and change-management awareness (scope, schedule, budget).
