Job Description
A Project Manager in Atwell's Civil Engineering group responsible for overseeing diverse land development projects, collaborating with teams, analyzing survey data, providing technical reports, supporting construction activities, mentoring junior staff, and developing project management skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze project survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions and easement documents
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology, storm sewer, and other engineering studies
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for career growth
Requirements
- Experience in collaborating closely with production teams to assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents
- Ability to analyze project survey data to examine legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Experience in guiding and assisting junior staff to ensure project-based tasks are executed accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency in preparing a wide range of reports, opinions, and recommendations including hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports
- Experience providing construction-related services such as permit applications and quantity estimates
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Possession of a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with potential to grow into a Project Manager role
