Job Description
A Project Manager in Atwell's Civil Engineering group responsible for overseeing diverse projects, collaborating with teams, analyzing site data, providing technical reports, supporting construction activities, mentoring junior staff, and developing project management skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, surveys, and easement documents
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize engineering software like AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for potential career growth
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages to ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget.
- Experience in collaborating closely with production teams to assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
- Ability to analyze existing site conditions by examining legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
- Experience in guiding and assisting junior staff to ensure project-based tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Technical expertise to prepare a wide range of reports, opinions, and recommendations, including hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports.
- Experience providing construction-related services such as permit applications and quantity estimates, and supporting the transition from plans to construction.
- Proficiency in developing and developing project schedules and storm sewer reports.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Ability to develop project management skills through training and mentoring with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
