Job Description
The role involves collaborating on renewable energy site design projects, primarily focusing on ground-mounted solar arrays and battery energy storage systems, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, and supporting various engineering tasks from site analysis to permit preparation and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Design renewable energy site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, focusing on ground-mounted solar arrays and battery energy storage systems.
- Prepare conceptual grading analyses, site layouts, and various reports including due diligence site analysis, cost estimates, utility computations, stormwater reports, and earthwork analysis.
- Assist in producing final construction drawings and preparing permit applications for municipal agencies.
- Collaborate with project team members and other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Attend client and public meetings to communicate project details and progress.
- Support project managers and participate in business development efforts as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 0-4 years related experience in engineering or a similar field.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a variety of people.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Availability to work nights and weekends to complete projects as necessary.
- Physical ability to frequently sit and talk or hear, and occasionally stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
