Job Description
A civil engineering drafter responsible for creating detailed site and infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting land development projects by ensuring accurate design documentation and collaborating with project teams to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to design staff on drafting practices, standards, and procedures
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to produce civil engineering drawings
- Create site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer, and construction plans
- Review project survey data and assess existing site conditions
- Revise plans based on comments from municipalities, agencies, and clients
- Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to support workflow and project schedules
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; technical certificate or associate degree in drafting or engineering technology preferred.
- 4 to 10 years of civil design experience within residential, commercial, or industrial land development required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
