Civil Engineer - Municipal

• Performs professional engineering and design work for government clients. • Prepares reports, plans, specifications, construction schedules and permits for transportation, water/wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects. • Obtains and evaluates pertinent field data for proposed construction projects. • Prepares engineer’s opinion of probable cost and engineering design calculations. • Assists with development plan reviews for compliance with local ordinances. • Maintains a good relationship with clients. • Prepares permit applications for capital projects. • Assists in preparation of proposals for engineering services. • Mentors and assists with training Staff Engineers. • Delegates specific project assignments to Staff Engineers. • Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. • Shares responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects. • Participates in business development activities. • Professionally represents the firm at client meetings/hearings. • Assists with the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, billing and A/R. • Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein.
