Job Description
A Civil Engineer EIT responsible for supporting project teams in designing, reviewing, and managing civil engineering projects related to land development, including preparing documents, conducting site visits, and utilizing engineering software, while collaborating with clients and agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams by leading design aspects and addressing engineering issues
- Prepare and review project documents, proposals, and deliverables such as site plans, reports, cost estimates, project schedules, and permit applications
- Make edits to plans based on client and agency feedback
- Research local zoning requirements and conduct site visits and field assignments
- Analyze site survey data and development factors
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete assignments
- Communicate with clients, municipalities, and agencies under the direction of the Project Manager
- Update Project Manager and Team Leader on workload status
- Apply fundamental engineering concepts to practical situations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Two to four (2-4) years of experience in civil engineering, with experience leading design aspects of development projects preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Grading Design, Technical Writing, 3-D Modeling, MS Office, and Plan Interpretation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent workload management skills
