Job Description
An Associate Project Manager in civil engineering at Atwell, LLC, collaborates on diverse land development projects, providing technical expertise, project coordination, and mentorship, with opportunities for growth into a Project Manager role within a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions, easements, and surveys
- Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
- Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
- Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
- Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for potential career advancement
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Six (6) or more years of related experience in civil engineering projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages
- Ability to collaborate closely with Project Managers in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents
- Experience analyzing project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Ability to guide and assist junior staff to ensure project-based tasks are executed accurately and efficiently
- Capability to prepare a wide range of reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, and storm sewer reports
- Experience providing construction support services including permit applications and quantity estimates
- Knowledge of and experience with preparing and reviewing construction-related documents and services
- Technical expertise in engineering software to ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget
- Willingness to develop Project Management skills through training and mentoring with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role
