Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily in-process inspections across multiple production lines to ensure compliance with quality standards and SOPs.
- Develop and maintain inspection protocols, checklists, and sampling plans tailored to each product line.
- Monitor critical control points and address deviations in real time to prevent non-conforming products from advancing.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Train and mentor quality inspectors on inspection techniques, measurement tools, and documentation best practices.
- Review and approve inspection records, ensuring accuracy and completeness for audit readiness.
- Lead daily quality huddles to communicate priorities, share findings, and reinforce quality culture.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, data, and process demonstrations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, GMP, or industry-specific regulations.
- Hands-on experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and visual inspection techniques.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to preventing defects.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and clear reporting.
- Proficiency in using quality management systems (QMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000
