Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer at Astrodyne TDI is responsible for designing and supporting power distribution units and EMI filters, managing the entire design process, and ensuring products meet specifications through detailed drawings and documentation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of Power Distribution Units (PDU) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Filters.
  • Create and review engineering drawings and documentation following industry standards.
  • Update legacy product documentation through the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
  • Support other mechanical engineers and staff as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure on-time project completion.
  • Manage the entire design process, including design reviews, 3D modeling, and production support.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency with CAD software packages, with ProE Creo preferred.
  • Experience in 2D CAD software.
  • Experience in material selection and manufacturing processes.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate ideas, concepts, and solutions.
  • Ability to take initiative and understand process flow.
