Job Description
A Material Handler is responsible for pulling, verifying, and organizing materials and supplies for production, packaging finished products for shipment, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and verify materials and supplies on production orders
- Maintain inventory by labeling and organizing materials in the stockroom
- Pick, package, and prepare materials for shipment
- Operate forklift and other material handling equipment
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages
- Support counting activities in the stockroom
- Assist with special projects as directed by the supervisor
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Forklift Certification is strongly preferred.
- Prior stockroom experience is helpful.
- Ability to work from parts list.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must work quickly and efficiently.
- Must work well under pressure and as part of a team.
