Job Description

The Electrical Engineer Intern at Astrodyne TDI will support the Product Development and Quality Assurance teams in designing and testing power conversion and control products, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • •Provide support to Product Development and Quality Assurance tasks
  • •Conduct prototype assembly and testing
  • •Prepare project documentation including stress charts and test reports
  • •Use analytical tools like PSpice and MathCAD for design conceptualization
  • •Participate in Project Teams with Mechanical and Process Engineers
  • •Prepare component stress documentation and perform DFMEA analyses
  • •Debug and test prototypes individually or with technicians
  • •Assist with Verification Test procedures and troubleshoot issues

Requirements

  • •A current student working towards a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree, preferably in their Sophomore or Junior year of college.
  • •Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering concepts.
  • •Familiarity with PC-based software including Microsoft Office, MathCAD, AutoCAD, or Pro-E.
  • •Hands-on inclination and interest in electronic circuitry.
