Job Description
The Electrical Engineer Intern at Astrodyne TDI will support the Product Development and Quality Assurance teams in designing and testing power conversion and control products, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to Product Development and Quality Assurance tasks
- Conduct prototype assembly and testing
- Prepare project documentation including stress charts and test reports
- Use analytical tools like PSpice and MathCAD for design conceptualization
- Participate in Project Teams with Mechanical and Process Engineers
- Prepare component stress documentation and perform DFMEA analyses
- Debug and test prototypes individually or with technicians
- Assist with Verification Test procedures and troubleshoot issues
Requirements
- A current student working towards a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree, preferably in their Sophomore or Junior year of college.
- Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with PC-based software including Microsoft Office, MathCAD, AutoCAD, or Pro-E.
- Hands-on inclination and interest in electronic circuitry.
