Job Description
An Audit Associate at Aprio works with a team of credentialed experts to help clients improve financial reporting, internal controls, and evaluate accounting issues, while staying ahead of regulatory changes to support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients in improving financial reporting capabilities and internal controls
- Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations
- Assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making
- Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements
- Work with a team of audit professionals to mitigate financial and business risks
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an audit or assurance environment, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrate knowledge of financial reporting capabilities, internal controls, and accounting issues.
- Stay current with new accounting regulations that could have potential impact on long-term business growth.
- Ability to evaluate accounting issues and assess the quality of information used for strategic business decisions.
- Strong analytical skills to identify areas for operational efficiencies and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and contribute to a high-energy, ambitious team culture.
- Willingness to adhere to the firm's core behaviors and deliver an exceptional client and team-member experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States (or relevant jurisdiction) without sponsorship.
- Ability to work full-time in a professional setting, with flexibility to adapt to remote or hybrid work arrangements as required.
