Key Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of federal, state and local tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041, and 1040.
Organize and review client source documents
Prepare tax supporting workpapers and calculations with clear documentation for review
Complete assigned tax return tasks during peak filing periods while meeting quality and turnaround expectations
Assist with tax planning, estimating tax liabilities, and recommending appropriate tax strategies
Perform tax research and help draft concise memoranda to support positions and planning opportunities
Develop a working knowledge of U.S. tax laws and apply that knowledge in preparing tax returns
Utilize CCH Axcess, Caseware, Adobe Acrobat and MS Office applications
Engage in company events and training programs
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning
Requirements
4-year bachelor's degree in accounting
Licensed CPA or EA preferred
0-1 years of hands-on US income tax experience, including individual, trust, estate, partnership, and corporate tax returns
Solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles
Comfort using Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn tax software and tools
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and organized work
Ability to follow instructions, apply review feedback, and continuously improve work quality
Basic analytical and problem‑solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines during peak filing periods
Professional attitude with a high level of accountability and integrity
Willingness to travel on a limited basis
Work Setup: Hybrid – Initial 2 months onsite, followed by a hybrid schedule of 2 days onsite and 3 days work-from-home per week. Work location is either at our Clark or Makati site.
Amenable to work day shift starting from 6:30 AM-3:30 AM PHT
