Job Description

The Lead People Partner at Amperity is a strategic leadership role focused on designing human-centered workforce structures, leveraging AI and data to optimize talent management, and partnering with GTM leaders to foster a high-performance, inclusive culture in a fast-growing tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design organizational structures that optimize human-AI collaboration to enhance creativity and productivity.
  • Lead real-time workforce planning using data-driven insights to ensure talent readiness and agility.
  • Identify future skills gaps and develop upskilling initiatives to keep the workforce aligned with technological advancements.
  • Establish and reinforce a high-performance culture aligned with company values, behaviors, and incentives.
  • Create employee experiences that foster belonging, clarity, confidence, and support during high-stakes moments.
  • Provide high-EQ support for complex life events and sensitive interactions with employees.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to develop scalable playbooks and decision-making frameworks for HR processes.
  • Utilize data analytics to predict talent risks, leadership gaps, and workforce trends proactively.
  • Ensure ethical use of HR technology, maintaining human oversight in automated processes.

Requirements

  • 12 Years of Strategic Partnership experience navigating the messy middle of high-growth tech companies with revenue from 100M to 1B ARR, partnering with GTM leaders who are demanding and move at breakneck speed.
  • A proven track record of partnering with Go-to-Market (GTM) leaders to support organizational growth and performance.
  • A sophisticated understanding of global employment law, total rewards, and talent management, allowing focus on HR innovation beyond basic compliance.
  • High-EQ Leadership Coaching skills, with the ability to challenge senior leaders and coach first-time managers through complex team restructuring, demonstrating gravitas and empathy.
  • Technological fluency as a power user of modern HR stacks such as HiBob, Greenhouse, Pave, Kinfolk, with an experimental mindset to integrate and automate these tools to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to design organizational structures that prioritize flow over friction, and determine how humans and AI agents work together to maximize creativity and output.
  • Experience leading continuous workforce planning using real-time, data-informed decisions beyond static, quarterly exercises.
  • Experience leading gap analyses to identify future skills needs and designing upskilling initiatives to ensure employee evolution aligns with technological advancements.
  • Ability to design and reinforce a culture where values, behaviors, and incentives are tightly aligned, and coach leaders to have high-stakes performance conversations, rewarding impact over activity.
  • Experience designing and reinforcing employee experiences that foster a culture of belonging, clarity on expectations, confidence in growth, and support during high-stakes or personal moments.
  • Ability to provide bespoke, high-EQ support for complex life events and high-stakes interactions at scale.
  • Experience partnering with People Operations teams to build scalable playbooks and logic that allow HR technology stacks to scale effectively.
  • Ability to move beyond lagging indicators like turnover to leading indicators such as burnout risks, leadership gaps, and talent density trends using unified data stacks.
  • Experience serving as an ethical compass for HR technology, ensuring automation does not compromise the relational aspects of HR, especially for high-stakes career milestones.
  • Location requirement: Seattle, WA, with a hybrid work model including three days in the office each week.
  • Compensation range: Base salary between $160,000 and $220,000, depending on skills, experience, education, training, geographic location, and level of hire.
