Job Description

The Web SEO Specialist at Alarm.com is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies, managing website content within a CMS, and leveraging data analytics to optimize search performance across traditional and AI-driven platforms, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance web visibility and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive search strategies for traditional and AI-driven search platforms to drive organic growth.
  • Advise on technical SEO best practices, including site architecture, schema markup, and content structure to optimize for featured snippets and AI answers.
  • Conduct keyword and prompt research, create content briefs, manage on-page and off-page SEO initiatives, and perform technical audits.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in AI search, LLM updates, and algorithm shifts to inform proactive SEO strategies.
  • Manage website content updates, page creation, and content management within the CMS platform.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to create SEO-optimized web content aligned with marketing initiatives.
  • Design, launch, and analyze A/B tests on web pages and user journeys to improve user experience and conversions.
  • Oversee the content lifecycle from planning and creation to publishing, monitoring, and performance reporting.
  • Track, analyze, and report on SEO and content performance metrics using analytics tools, and develop insights to guide strategy.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a role focused on SEO, content strategy, and website management.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with core SEO and analytics tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics 4, and Google Search Console.
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern search, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Search Generative Experiences (SGE), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), with the ability to speak fluently about how search is evolving.
  • Proven experience managing website content in a modern Content Management System (CMS).
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
