Job Description
The Senior Launch Technical Program Manager will lead and manage complex IoT hardware projects, particularly video surveillance cameras, by coordinating cross-functional teams, overseeing project lifecycle, and ensuring timely delivery through hands-on leadership and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for IoT hardware programs, ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage and coach cross-functional engineering teams, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Drive end-to-end program delivery across hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and product teams.
- Develop, own, and manage master program schedules aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Communicate project progress and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve project obstacles and dependencies to keep programs on track.
- Facilitate technical decision-making across multidisciplinary teams.
- Negotiate resources across teams to ensure appropriate staffing for project phases.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues at the program level early in the process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience in electronic product development
- 8 years of engineering and manufacturing coordination experience supporting new product introduction (NPI)
- 5 years of hardware program management and project management experience
- Strong ability to push through ambiguity and drive decision-making to keep programs on track
- Proven experience in managing high performing technical teams
- Proven experience in managing large, complex projects and breaking them down into manageable pieces
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate risks, understand them, and make the right tradeoffs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with global, cross-functional teams
- A track record of improving development processes and driving effective teamwork
- Hands-on leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide team members effectively
- Experience facilitating technical decisions across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience negotiating resources across teams and programs to ensure appropriate resourcing for different phases of the program
- Experience identifying and mitigating issues and risks at the program level as early as possible
