Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable communication protocols for IoT devices in a smart home platform, involving cross-functional collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring within a cutting-edge technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software across multiple platforms and technologies.
- Architect scalable, high-performance solutions for device protocol communications.
- Research and adopt emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities.
- Guide the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Make strategic technical decisions and influence project direction.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of professional software development experience, with proven success in delivering complex projects.
- Advanced object-oriented programming skills, preferably in C++.
- Strong experience with database design, SQL, and backend services.
- Experience in the development of full-stack software across diverse platforms and technologies, including architecture solutions that balance scalability, performance, and maintainability for device protocol communications.
- Experience in the IoT and/or home automation field is a plus.
- Solid track record of implementing and improving unit testing and automated testing strategies.
- Experience in distributed systems, real-time communications, or high-performance applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
