Job Description

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring the security of cloud environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure by identifying and mitigating security risks, managing security solutions, and integrating security practices into the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Support the security of cloud environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating security risks.
  • Evaluate, review, and deploy cloud-native security tools.
  • Monitor and configure rules using cloud security platforms.
  • Utilize the Wiz tool for cloud security posture management.
  • Select and acquire additional security solutions.
  • Determine and maintain security posture in collaboration with the Engineering team.
  • Oversee deployment, integration, and configuration of security solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain threat models for cloud environments.
  • Partner with stakeholders to minimize security and privacy risks.
  • Recommend actions to ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Suggest risk mitigation strategies.
  • Craft responses to client and partner security questionnaires.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or a similar engineering program, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of Cloud Information Security experience, with a focus on public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Must stay up to date on the latest cloud security advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for a highly collaborative environment.
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables.
  • Experience in performing security reviews of cloud application designs, source code and deployments.
