Job Description
An entry-level Assistant Engineer position focused on hardware system testing, involving executing test procedures, operating testing equipment, recording data, and assisting in troubleshooting hardware issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hardware system testing according to established procedures
- Set up, configure, and operate test equipment and fixtures
- Record and organize test data accurately
- Identify and report visual, mechanical, or electrical defects
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware and assembly issues during testing
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of testing areas
- Follow calibration and safety procedures for testing equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
- 0 to 2 years of experience in hardware product system testing, electronics testing, or laboratory work
- Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical measurement tools
- Ability to follow technical instructions with precision
- Basic understanding of hardware systems and components
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
- Good observation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in application software such as Excel and PowerPoint for effective communication with various stakeholders
- Professional written, verbal, and presentation skills in English and Chinese with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Ability to perform hands-on testing of hardware systems and components under supervision
- Ability to prepare, configure, and operate test equipment, fixtures, and instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and torque tools
- Ability to collect, record, and organize test data in specified formats
- Ability to report visual, mechanical, or electrical defects observed during testing to supervising engineers
- Ability to assist in troubleshooting assembly and hardware issues during test execution
- Knowledge of and adherence to calibration requirements and safe handling procedures for all equipment
- Compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards
