Job Description
A Senior Automotive Reliability EMC Test Engineer responsible for validation, compliance testing, and ensuring automotive durability and robustness of LiDAR systems, with a focus on translating standards into test plans and collaborating with OEMs and labs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own validation and compliance testing for automotive LiDAR systems across development stages
- Translate OEM requirements and international standards into test plans
- Identify risks early in the testing process
- Ensure LiDAR products meet automotive durability, EMC, and functional robustness standards
- Interact directly with OEMs and third-party testing labs
- Influence hardware design decisions based on testing outcomes
Requirements
- Deep understanding of automotive qualification philosophy, including translating OEM requirements and international standards into defensible test plans
- Experience in validation and compliance testing for automotive LiDAR systems through Development Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV), and production readiness phases
- Ability to identify risk early in the testing and validation process
- Experience ensuring LiDAR products meet automotive durability, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), and functional robustness expectations
- Hands-on experience with validation and compliance testing, including direct interaction with OEMs and third-party labs
- Strong influence on hardware design decisions based on testing and validation outcomes
