Job Description
The Program Manager will lead and execute startup programs and ecosystem-building activities in Nairobi, Kenya, focusing on program design, stakeholder engagement, community development, and ensuring impactful experiences for founders, mentors, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute startup programs and activities in Nairobi, Kenya
- Design and implement program curriculum and activities
- Engage with startups, mentors, and partners to ensure program success
- Manage stakeholder relationships and community-building efforts
- Coordinate and report on program data and outcomes
Requirements
- Proven experience in program design and execution related to startup ecosystems, accelerators, or entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with founders, mentors, partners, and internal teams to ensure a seamless and impactful program experience.
- Strong understanding of the startup journey and entrepreneurship as a driver of economic development.
- Experience in curriculum planning and community-building activities within entrepreneurial or startup environments.
- Ability to engage and manage startup founders and mentors effectively.
- Experience in stakeholder management, including working with government, corporate partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data reporting and analysis related to program activities and impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on structure, empathy, and adaptability.
- This position is a 1-year contract with the potential for extension.
