Job Description
The R&D Test Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a multi-discipline test team to operate and maintain test stands for acceptance testing of production hardware, ensuring high-quality data output while collaborating with various teams to meet aggressive project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multi-discipline test team for operating test stands.
- Ensure efficient and effective acceptance testing of production hardware.
- Understand and enhance test stand design, build, and commissioning.
- Operate and maintain test stands to ensure high-quality data output.
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, Procurement, and SPARC teams.
- Coach the team to challenge requirements, risks, and test objectives.
Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical, electrical, materials, fluids, and software engineering, or some combination.
- Experience in leading and developing a small multi-discipline test team.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively operate test stands for acceptance testing of production hardware on aggressive schedules.
- Experience in understanding and enhancing test stand design.
- Experience in completing the build and commissioning of test stands.
- Experience in operating and maintaining test stands to ensure a high-quality data product.
- Ability to work collaboratively across Production, R&D, Procurement, and SPARC teams.
