Job Description
The Structural Engineer will conduct field evaluations of industrial structures, analyze data, develop models, and create rehabilitation or replacement plans, while ensuring quality control in structural construction.
Responsibilities
- •Conduct field evaluations of industrial structures
- •Develop calculations and analytical models in steel and concrete
- •Design rehabilitation and replacement plans
- •Specify materials and write reports
- •Provide technical support and quality control for structural construction
Requirements
- •Bachelor of Science in Civil Structural Engineering
- •Minimum of 0 years and maximum of 3 years of experience
- •E.I.T. licensure required
- •Familiarity with modelling software such as STAAD required
- •Knowledge of ACI 318, AISC, ASCE-7, and IBC required
- •Ability to support field evaluation of existing structures
- •Ability to develop calculations and analytical models in steel and concrete
- •Ability to design rehabilitation and/or replacement plans
- •Ability to specify materials and write reports
- •Ability to provide technical support for and quality control of structural construction
- •Physical mobility on the ground and at heights
- •Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
- •Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders using appropriate fall protection
- •Ability to work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing appropriate PPE
- •Ability to position oneself to work in confined spaces
- •Ability to adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site
- •Ability to meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site
