Job Description
The Technical Project Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team in the Environmental Control System Division, focusing on product development for quantum information research. This role requires strategic management of product execution objectives while balancing risks and opportunities in a low technology readiness environment.
Responsibilities
- •Partner with Technical Leads to define priority initiatives and associated burn-down plans.
- •Exercise strategic judgement in executing objectives while balancing resources across technical teams.
- •Communicate key decision points in product execution to upper management.
- •Build relationships with customer stakeholders through strategic planning and execution.
- •Conduct engineering reviews and manage risks, driving actionable plans to close gaps.
- •Recommend, develop, and implement engineering and business processes to enhance product lifecycle execution.
Requirements
- •3 years of professional experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- •Experience working in low technology readiness level R&D environments.
- •Experience in a relevant industry or technical area such as hardware product development, electronics, or quantum physics.
- •Excellent communication skills, including oral and written.
- •Expertise with project management and risk management tools.
- •Demonstrated success in project planning, resource planning and allocation, and management of multi-disciplinary teams in a R&D and/or operations environment.
- •Ability to build partnerships and drive decision making with cross-functional stakeholders.
- •PhD in Physics or related Engineering fields.
- •Experience as a project manager along with people management.
- •U.S. Citizenship is required.
- •Must have or be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
