Job Description
The Development Director will design and implement a philanthropic fundraising strategy for Spark, focusing on high-impact climate fields such as methane mitigation and agricultural management. This role involves collaborating with program leaders to engage funders and achieve significant fundraising targets to support climate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of a philanthropic fundraising strategy.
- Collaborate with program and organizational leaders to support fundraising efforts.
- Engage with funders to increase resources for critical climate fields.
- Accountable for meeting fundraising targets and managing funder relationships.
- Support the growth of climate fields through transformational re-granting.
Requirements
- Lead the design and implementation of a philanthropic fundraising strategy for Spark and spinout non-profit initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Spark's program and organizational leaders.
- Accountable for fundraising targets and funder relationships.
- Ability to travel for in-person funder meetings, with a higher travel load for candidates outside of the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Experience in fundraising with a target fundraising goal of 20-50M per year over the next few years.
