Job Description
The Qubit Systems Scientist will work on advanced spin qubit measurements and improve quantum-dot-based spin qubit systems by integrating knowledge from electrical engineering, software engineering, and data science. The role involves solving complex problems, developing software tools for data analysis, and collaborating in a research environment.
Responsibilities
- •Understand and improve the operation of quantum-dot-based spin qubit systems.
- •Conduct advanced spin qubit measurements.
- •Identify needed measurement capabilities and collaborate with engineers for new control capabilities.
- •Develop software tools to automate complex data collection and analysis tasks.
- •Curate, maintain, and visualize collected data.
Requirements
- •Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability in laboratory research, including skill in debugging and interpreting data from complex measurements.
- •Knowledge in a combination of the following: data analysis, low noise measurement, software best-practices and deployment, cryogenic physics, quantum information, optimal control.
- •Significant experience in a research environment involving electrical engineering, physics, computer science, or related field.
- •Expected education of BA/BS with 6 years of industry experience, MS with 4 years of industry experience, or a doctoral degree.
- •Must be able to climb ladders to use elevated test equipment.
- •Must be able to work safely in a laboratory environment, and be on-site at least 4 days a week.
- •U.S. citizenship.
- •Must have or be willing to apply for and maintain security clearance.
