Job Description

The Field Engineer - Cryogenics will be responsible for assisting with and leading the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of a large-scale helium cryogenics plant system, ensuring it is delivered on-time, on-budget, and meets technical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and lead specialized install activities for helium cryogenics plant systems
  • Perform maintenance and commissioning activities for cryogenic equipment
  • Ensure project delivery on-time, on-budget, and meeting technical requirements
  • Join CRYO SPARC Operations team following commissioning

Requirements

  • Experience as an engineering technician in specialized install, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to deliver a large-scale helium cryogenics plant system on-time, on-budget, and meeting technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with major equipment including 4 MW of compressor power, 150k gallons of helium gas storage, purifier and oil removal systems, a 60-ft cryogenic refrigeration coldbox with control valves, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and turbomachinery.
  • Proven capability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated values of responsibility, proactiveness, prioritization, planning, critical thinking, a sense of urgency, growth mindset, and collaboration.
