Job Description
The job involves working as part of the Data Engineering team at EnergyHub, focusing on building and maintaining core data products while collaborating across teams. Candidates will deepen their knowledge of modern data engineering tools and improve processes related to data monitoring and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- •Integrate with Data Engineering to build and maintain core data products
- •Collaborate with engineers to gain insights and mentorship
- •Deepen knowledge of modern data engineering tools like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Sigma
- •Work in an agile environment to translate product requirements into products
- •Improve monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution processes
- •Monitor cloud costs to maintain efficiency
- •Build innovative data solutions
Requirements
- •Current enrollment in or immediate graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in or related to data engineering.
- •Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- •Experience with monitoring and dashboarding tools such as Snowflake, Sigma, or Datadog.
- •A clear understanding of the difference between OLAP and OLTP RDBMS systems and when to recommend one over the other.
- •Knowledge of a variety of file structures such as CSV, JSON, and Parquet, and when one might be preferable over others.
