Job Description

The Electrical Safety Manager at Nexamp is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving electrical safety programs, conducting site audits, performing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety standards to maintain a safe working environment across all company sites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement electrical safety programs.
  • Conduct site audits and risk assessments.
  • Implement electrical safety training for employees and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Manage the electrical PPE program and safety equipment.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to electrical safety.
  • Lead investigations and develop emergency response protocols for electrical incidents.
  • Provide electrical safety expertise to engineering and other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Safety and Occupational Health, Electrical Engineering, or similar scientific discipline or Successful completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship, Journeyman preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal Safety and Health Regulations for Electrical Safety in both general industry and construction 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S, 29 CFR and 1926 Subpart K.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
  • Experience in developing and conducting electrical safety training for employees and contractors, focusing on electrical hazard identification, lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures, arc flash safety, and emergency response.
  • Experience in conducting site audits, performing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside the organization.
  • Ability to express oneself clearly in conversations and interactions with others.
  • Ability to express oneself clearly in business writing.

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
