Job Description
The Vehicle Operations Lead at Aurora will oversee a team of operators for commercial trucks and passenger vehicles, focusing on safety, team development, and operational efficiency. This role involves collaboration across departments and requires strong leadership skills to foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of operators for commercial trucks and passenger vehicles
- Establish and promote a safety culture for in-vehicle teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally with a Win Together mindset
- Develop team members by building on individual strengths and opportunities
- Provide regular constructive performance feedback through 1:1s
- Adhere to Aurora policies and the Vehicle Operations Manual
- Communicate major Aurora initiatives and programs to the team
- Act as point of contact for key Vehicle Operations projects and provide updates
- Serve as an ambassador for Aurora when interacting with the public
- Become certified as a Vehicle Operator to support in-vehicle testing
Requirements
- Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 5 years of driving history and a clean driving record, validated by MVR check.
- Ability to work the scheduled shift from 6pm to 3am.
- Ability to work scheduled days Monday - Friday.
- Ability to work early mornings or late nights, on rotating shifts.
- Ability to work regular overtime and weekends.
- Must pass initial and random drug and alcohol screenings.
- Safety focused.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate teams.
- Experience working in a collaborative environment.
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range: 80,000 - 105,000 per year
Friday to Tuesday night shift from 6pm - 3am
