Job Description
The position involves preparing construction drawings and specifications for electrical engineering systems under the supervision of a licensed engineer, focusing on projects in various sectors such as healthcare and education. The role includes designing lighting and power distribution systems, analyzing engineering documents, conducting site visits, and assisting with project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare basic construction drawings and specifications of electrical engineering systems.
- Design lighting, power distribution, communications, and telecommunication systems.
- Analyze engineering documents and layout systems.
- Research and respond to design issues.
- Apply knowledge of electrical code for building power distribution design.
- Recommend improvements to enhance quality and streamline production.
- Assist in the review and markup of shop drawings and submittals.
- Gather information to respond to RFIs and review change orders.
- Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Requirements
- Minimum ABET EAC Bachelor degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience required.
- Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Must complete mandatory training, including compliance training, within required timeframes and adhere to internal policies and the Code of Conduct.
