Job Description
The Compact Device Modeling Engineer will lead research and development efforts to create compact device models for mixed-signal circuit designs, focusing on semiconductor device behavior and integrated circuit design. The role involves managing technical teams, mentoring, and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners in a cutting-edge research environment.
Responsibilities
- •Measure and understand semiconductor device behavior to develop compact device models for integrated circuit design and simulation.
- •Organize and manage research and development projects with technical teams.
- •Provide mentorship and guidance in technical, organizational, and reporting aspects of projects.
- •Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, partner organizations, and internal teams.
- •Create and manage work plans to meet schedule deadlines and technical expectations.
- •Lead and contribute to proposal and marketing efforts for sustaining R&D efforts.
Requirements
- •More than 10 years demonstrated expertise in compact model generation with industry standard SPICE models, such as PSP or BSIM bulk and SOI, and development of device behavioral models and sub-circuit representations for RFIC applications.
- •More than 5 years of experience with design of experiments and analysis techniques (electrical, mechanical, thermal, chemical, etc.) needed to develop and assess new device technologies.
- •Exceptional understanding of semiconductor device physics and fabrication technologies including deep submicron and FinFET processes.
- •Demonstrated experience developing external partnerships and vendor relationships.
- •More than 5 years of experience in organizing and leading technical research and development efforts, and in preparing presentations and proposals needed to attract research funding.
- •PhD or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related scientific discipline.
- •U.S. citizenship is required.
- •Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
