Job Description
Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking a corporate attorney to provide legal support on M&A and financing transactions, as well as contract negotiations, within the renewable energy sector. The role involves acting as a legal lead on various agreements and collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance and successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- •Provide legal support on M&A and financing transactions.
- •Draft and negotiate transaction documents including purchase and sale agreements.
- •Act as legal lead on the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements.
- •Support regulatory compliance efforts and coordinate filings with regulatory entities.
- •Manage internal paralegals and outside legal counsel for transactions.
- •Provide day-to-day legal support to the development team.
Requirements
- •J.D. from accredited law school and current license to practice.
- •Minimum 2 years of experience with a law firm or in-house legal department.
- •Knowledge of and experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- •Experience supporting on M&A transactions.
- •Experience in the renewables industry or eagerness to learn about the renewables industry to the extent necessary to counsel the business.
- •Exceptional problem-solving skills and business-oriented approach to resolving legal issues.
- •Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- •Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
- •Ability to analyze complex issues and advise internal business partners appropriately.
- •Fluency with or eagerness to learn about the solar industry to the extent necessary to counsel the business.
