Job Description
The role involves leading a high-performing Sales Engineering team at Samsara, focusing on customer success and collaboration with sales, product, and support teams to enhance operational efficiency and drive sales strategies in the IoT and SaaS sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles
- Hire, develop, and lead a high performing Sales Engineering team
- Manage individual and team performance in collaboration with sales, product, support, and customer success teams
- Work with Regional Sales Managers on account planning and strategy
- Manage escalations related to product issues and feature requests in a pre-sales environment
- Participate in customer prospect calls as a trusted advisor
- Partner with other Sales Engineering leaders to improve the Sales Engineering organization
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science degree from a 4 year accredited university
- 5 years of professional experience in hands on engineering, pre-sales, customer success, or customer product support capacity
- 3 years of sales engineering management experience
- Experience with Software Product sales Infrastructure, SaaS
- Knowledge in one or more of these areas of expertise: IoT, Networking Security, SaaS, Cloud Technologies, or Physical Security
- Strong technical and business acumen
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to partner with a broad coalition of stakeholders, ranging from sales, product, marketing, support, customer success and from individual contributors to executive team members across the organization
- Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and problem solving abilities
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Ability to travel as needed
- Location: US based, Pacific or Mountain time-zone
