Job Description
The role involves leading a Hardware Quality team to develop and maintain test strategies for platform stability and reliability, while managing day-to-day software engineering QA activities and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across products.
Responsibilities
- •Develop and maintain the overarching test strategy across products.
- •Define strategies for platform stability, reliability, and stress testing.
- •Ensure comprehensive test coverage by defining clear quality metrics and KPIs.
- •Design and develop real-time dashboards to visualize key quality indicators for Hardware platforms.
- •Directly manage a Hardware Quality team focused on platform validation.
- •Communicate status on platform validations progress.
- •Manage day-to-day software engineering QA activities.
- •Hire, manage, monitor, and motivate hardware validation team members.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
- •3 plus years of technical lead or management experience, while staying hands-on in server platform validation.
- •5 years of software system testing and server platform validation experience, or equivalent.
- •2 years experience collaborating with remote teams based in the US or some other country.
- •Strong knowledge of X86 hardware designs, as well as aspects like Server Hardware, BMC BIOS, Networking, Storage and other system software aspects.
- •Strong knowledge of System testing using end-to-end Automation and Hands on automation in Python or similar scripting languages.
- •Experience with multiple operating systems Linux and Windows.
- •Ability to independently deploy and maintain test environments.
- •Managed a team of 5 software systems testing and automation engineers.
