Job Description
The Associate role in Investor Relations and Corporate Development at Samsara involves analyzing financial data, managing investor relationships, and supporting M&A and investment processes to enhance the company's narrative and strategic positioning in the market.
Responsibilities
- •Collect and analyze business and financial information to inform narratives for investors and analysts.
- •Support corporate development M&A and investment deal processes, including sourcing, qualification, financial analyses, due diligence, and closing activities.
- •Collaborate with Strategic Finance, FP&A, Legal, Comms, and Marketing to ensure accuracy of financial performance figures and alignment of external messaging.
- •Monitor and summarize industry trends and peer commentary by tracking sell-side research and financial news.
- •Establish understanding of industry trends, market participants, and competitive dynamics in physical operations and enterprise software markets.
- •Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally.
Requirements
- •1 year of experience in investment banking, equity research, or strategic finance.
- •Strong familiarity with financial modeling and valuation.
- •Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering business results.
- •Self-motivated with a history of taking on expanding roles.
- •Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- •Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Strategic Finance, FP&A, Legal, Comms, and Marketing teams.
- •Excellent communication skills, must be comfortable presenting to investors and analysts.
- •Bachelor's degree.
- •Flexibility to travel as needed.
