Job Description
The Associate role in Investor Relations and Corporate Development at Samsara involves analyzing financial information, managing investor relationships, and supporting M&A activities to drive corporate development efforts. The position requires strong analytical skills and effective communication to shape the company's narrative and strategy in the physical operations sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze business and financial information to inform narratives for investors and analysts.
- Support corporate development M&A and investment deal processes, including sourcing, qualification, financial analyses, due diligence, and closing.
- Collaborate with Strategic Finance, FP&A, Legal, Comms, and Marketing to ensure accuracy of financial performance figures and alignment of external messaging.
- Monitor and summarize industry trends and peer commentary by tracking sell-side research and financial news.
- Establish understanding of industry trends, market participants, and competitive dynamics in physical operations and enterprise software markets.
- Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in investment banking, equity research, or strategic finance.
- Strong familiarity with financial modeling and valuation.
- Self-motivated with a history of taking on expanding roles.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Strategic Finance, FP&A, Legal, Comms, and Marketing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, must be comfortable presenting to investors and analysts.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
