Job Description
The IT Specialist will manage Helpdesk activities to ensure optimal end-user experience at the R&D Center, providing tier 1 hardware and software support for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows users globally, while also handling IT equipment provisioning and supporting telecommunications technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all Helpdesk activities to ensure optimal end-user experience.
- Provide tier 1 hardware and software support for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows users.
- Handle support queue and respond to emergency hotline calls.
- Provision and install IT equipment at desks.
- Set up workspaces and conduct onboarding training for new hires.
- Source and manage inventory for the R&D Center office.
- Support telecommunications and digital signage technologies.
- Provide desk-side support for R&D Center employees.
- Develop and document standards and procedures for end-user support.
- Provide base-level systems and network support.
- Help improve automation in account, system, and application provisioning.
Requirements
- Min 8 years IT Helpdesk or desktop support experience.
- AD account creation maintenance experience.
- A valid passport and ability to engage in limited travel.
- Experience administering and working with common cloud-based enterprise solutions e.g., Gmail, GDrive, Box, Slack, Global Protect, Zscaler, Crowdstrike.
- Basic knowledge of endpoint security and management.
- Audio Visual Support experience with Zoom, Neatboards, Logitech TapIP, scheduler.
- IT Hardware asset management experience including procurement, shipment, stock management, and material inward/outward movement.
- Mac OS X and Windows 10 support experience.
- IT ticketing system experience, preferably ServiceNow.
- Mobile device support experience, preferably iOS and Android.
- Experience with new hire onboarding and leavers offboarding processes.
- GSuite, Okta, JAMF, and Airwatch Workspace One administration experience.
- Base-level Ubuntu Linux support experience.
