Job Description
The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for developing and automating security solutions, integrating security tools, and enhancing the overall security posture within the organization. This hands-on role requires expertise in Python scripting, Linux environments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure robust security measures are implemented.
Responsibilities
- •Develop and maintain security automations in Python for threat detection, incident response, and compliance reporting.
- •Integrate security tool stacks with internal systems to ensure seamless data flow and visibility.
- •Harden Linux-based environments and implement best practices for security configurations and monitoring.
- •Collaborate with security architects to translate security requirements into technical implementations.
- •Embed security controls within CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- •Analyze log data to detect anomalies and optimize event correlation.
- •Support incident response activities by developing scripts, playbooks, and integrations.
- •Continuously evaluate and enhance security tooling for automation and operational efficiency.
- •Document processes and standards for knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements
- •4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in security engineering or a related technical security domain.
- •Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages to build, integrate, and automate security tools and processes.
- •Strong Linux experience with a focus on security hardening, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- •Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or ELK for log analysis, correlation, and anomaly detection.
- •Knowledge of network security fundamentals, including firewalls, VPNs, and basic segmentation concepts.
- •Effective communication skills, translating technical details for engineers and presenting concise insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- •Ability to collaborate seamlessly with security architects, engineering teams, and operations groups to turn security requirements into well-implemented solutions.
- •Experience in developing and maintaining security automations to streamline processes such as threat detection, incident response, and compliance reporting.
- •Experience in integrating security tool stacks with internal systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistent visibility.
- •Experience in analyzing log data to detect anomalies, refine alerting, and optimize event correlation.
