Job Description
The Manager of Accounting and Financial Reporting at Charles River Associates will oversee internal and assist with external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, while managing the financial close process and supervising staff accountants.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Staff Accountant
- Manage the monthly financial close process
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support the preparation of external reporting, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and earnings releases
- Prepare annual budget schedules
- Assist with technical accounting analyses of complex transactions
- Assist with the external and internal audit processes
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting background
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills in order to work with various levels of staff and management, as well as external parties
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong work ethic that exemplifies high integrity and ethical standards
