Job Description

The MENA Account Executive at Planet will be responsible for expanding sales in the Middle East and North Africa region, focusing on government and commercial accounts. This role involves developing a sales pipeline, negotiating deals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Grow Planet's sales pipeline and book of business in the MENA region.
  • Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close large and medium-size deals.
  • Develop an extensive pipeline of new sales leads.
  • Provide product and sales demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Forecast accurately when managing the incoming pipeline of opportunities.
  • Create narratives aligned with target customer priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support sales efforts.
  • Manage the contracting and government procurement process.
  • Ensure successful onboarding for new customers with post-sales teams.
  • Maintain pipeline hygiene using Salesforce.com.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of exceeding targets and developing and closing significant deals.
  • 6 years of experience in sales, of which 5 years is experience selling to government customers.
  • Understanding of the nuances of Government sales cycles and how to navigate through the process.
  • Consultative approach to solution selling with experience developing and closing large complex deals.
  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate professional experience.
  • Excellent relationships across Government and the partner ecosystem in the region.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Demonstrated success finding and winning business with Government and Commercial customers in the region, specifically with UAE, Oman, KSA, Bahrain.
  • Deep understanding of the value of commercial imagery in support of Planet's mission.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and be self-motivated in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM System.
